‘Although we have been involved in traditional building methods for over 25 years, recently we were asked to undertake a Timber Framed Project. We have been amazed at the speed of construction and the benefits of getting internal trades started, whilst the bricklayers are laying externally and the roof tiling was being completed all at the same time.
Other benefits of timber framed buildings include open metal webbed joists which make wiring and plumbing pipes much easier to install and reduce labour costs. Apart from a major reduction in projected time a timber framed construction is remarkably energy efficient compared with traditional build. Heat retention is superior than masonry.’
